Webgains is a program that was started in 2004 and is an affiliate marketing network that provides a secure network to track and report commercial transactions. In other words, Webgains was put into place to act as a conduit between merchants and affiliates. This way both the merchants and the affiliates can work in good faith knowing that the other side of the process will be done and that certain guidelines will be followed.
Webgains offers tools to manage both affiliate and merchant accounts. They pride themselves on their openness where both the affiliates and merchants have full access to each other, they strive for excellence and demand integrity from all members. They have a strong support system in place where the merchant or affiliate can get help either through the telephone or through a ticket support system.
Affiliates will receive weekly paychecks guaranteed to be paid every Wednesday (held back one week, for the previous week) through direct deposit, Paypal, or check. An affiliate can manage all of their affiliate sites from one account and can have all the commissions combined instead of getting paid from each individual site. They also receive data feeds and content building tools as well as real-time reporting.
Merchants have access to four important management components as a member of Webgains. The reporting component gives performance reports and real-time and scheduled reports. Affiliate management allows the merchant to set different incentive levels for different affiliates. They also receive data feeds, group segmentation, and a test affiliate account so that they can see how their affiliate program performs.
Webgains merchants have access to advanced tracking which allows geo-targeting though various criteria. Webgains has stringent fraud prevention in place to protect merchants. With the account management feature merchants have access to product level commissions, online financial accounting, and multiple program support. Merchants have a choice of two ways to run their affiliate programs, they can either let one of the Webgains account managers take care of the affiliate program or they can use the Webgains tools and manage the affiliate programs themselves.
Webgains does have a good reputation when it comes to affiliate marketing. The guaranteed payments for affiliates is an amazing thing, no more worrying about a merchant not taking care of their responsibilites. I found a lot of people who use Webgains and praise the fact that it works just the way it states it will. If you are looking to sell a product or looking to make money as an affiliate then this may be a program to check out.

Used webgains for my small ecommerce shop and it was not good We are a small ecommerce shop that has been using PR and Webgains to drive traffic to our site. Webgains promised us multiple affiliates including Far Fetch, ShopStyle and Denimology before we signed a one year agreement, spent 1,000 for the initial payment (not to mention integration costs) and then all Webgains did was spam the internet with our coupon / voucher codes they stalked us to provide and allowed their horrible affiliates (like cupon2you - no I'm not kidding) to set up google ads with our name as the search term and it was the only time we paid affiliate fees. We spent 250/month for a managed account which was an absolute joke as they delivered none on our key targets and the only thing they managed to do was ensure no one ever paid full price for our clothing. Terrible service. I cannot recommend. |

I think it is pretty good I stumbled upon this site, and so far it has been a great find. I kind of knew that I would like this site when I was signing up because of the great measures they go through when you sign up. There really isn't much that I don't like about this site yet, this could be because I'm fairly new to it. I have been a member for a little over a month. There are a few things that I do like about it, for example the support that I get from this site is great. All of my problems and concerns were handled in a timely manner. I also like the fact that I am able to handle all of my sites together through Webgains. I would recommend this site to others because I have really benefited from it and I think others will too. I have seen some complaints about this site, but for the most part I think a lot of people will like it.

Great opportunity I am fairly new to Webgains but I am already enjoying the tremendous amount of traffic on my sites. I joined in as an Affiliate member two weeks back, and it just took several minutes to register. Using keywords as a guide, I installed the banners supplied for my site. I can see that the Merchants who signed up are well developed businesses, meaning Webgains already has a great reputation. Though I just got a few clicks on my banners and no earnings at all, my traffic suddenly boomed, so I think that is enough to be thankful for, for a free member like me. |

Good site to place everything together I joined Webgains several months ago and so far I like how the program is working. I like the fact that I am able to set up all my sites in one place and assign certain criteria to each one. I also like the fact I can add different keywords to each ad campaign I have listed with them. I am receiving an outstanding number of hits to my sites which is leading to conversion with other programs as well as this site. I found that the site is real easy to navigate and is definitely user friendly. The customer support is outstanding. I had several questions when I first got started and they were more than willing to help. I always had a response the same day. This is a program I would recommend to anyone.

Not for me I joined Webgains in 2007 & immediately installed the affiliate banners into my sites. I thought it would be easy to get my readers to buy something as the products I am promoting are all related to my sites' content. After several weeks, I received more than 200,000 impressions & 1,000 clicks but I didn't see any conversion or transactions being done. Since Webgains is paying commission based on the transaction referred from our site, I received nothing from the effort. I quickly pulled out their affiliate banners & replaced with my other CPM/CPC ads. Overall, Webgains is a great affiliate tool, since I received lots of clicks into it. The only problem is that the market I was promoting into is not ready to buy anything. |
