Webs Description

Webs is website generation service developed by the Mokhtarzada brothers. Their philosophy is to provide their members with everything they need to build a dynamic website where your visitors can become involved. This is possible by allowing members to contribute videos, photos, comments and many other things to your website - not only adding fresh content but also engaging each other.

Webs Detailed Overview

Using all the tools available on Webs you can build a professional looking website in just minutes. You can add many features such as a blog, forum, calendar, along with many other options. You can make your website into a social site, business site, or just about anything you desire. You can even design your very own community site by inviting members to post their profiles and network with each other.

Building your own website is very simple to do - absolutely no html or programming needed. You have your choice of 300 templates and once you choose your favorite you can customize it to make it entirely unique - you can even upload your own logo. Editing the pages is as simple as writing with MS Word - the Page Editor can be used to add all kinds of content to your website. Using the drag and drop system will allow you to add widgets, video, and text. You can upload all your photographs (you can even use Photobucket) to share with all of your visitors or you can even let your visitors share their pics too. Wanting a more interactive website? Then you can use the blog and forum optiions to allow your users to communicate both with you and the rest of the membership. Doing training or demonstrations? Then mark it on the calendar and let everyone know. Have items to sell? Then set up your own web store.

There are four levels of membership with Webs - free, Starter, Enhanced, and Pro. The free membership will allow you to use the site builder, have 40 mb of web storage, 30 minutes of video storage, and up to 5 items for sell. The Starter package is $49.95 per year and you will receive the use of the site builder, an ads free website, 400 mb of web storage, 150 minutes of video storage, up to 10 items to sell, and a $25 Google advertising credit. Enhanced (for $99.95 per year) offers all the same plus a domain name, web storage raised to 1000 mb, video raised to 1000 minutes, and you can sell up to 30 items. Pro (at $249.95 per year) offers all of the above except web storage is now 5000 mb, and unlimited video storage and items you are allowed to sell.

Webs Reputation

This is a very impressive website - the features available for free members is absolutely amazing. This is the only place where I have seen a free member actually being able to post items for sale on their website (at least in a web store format). The example websites are extremely impressive and being able to upload your own logo will truly brand the website as your own. If you are wanting to start your own website (or maybe branch out with an additional one) then Webs is a great way to get started.

Simply The Best

I have been using this website since 2007 and am really more than satisfied. I also tried other websites BUT the quality and perfection of webs is simply awesome. I would like to recommend webs for beginners for making a presence in the online market and even for personal use.

Very happy

I joined freewebs because I was fed up of using different links to try and get refs for my sites, and having no experience of creating a website, I wanted something that was easy to use and not having any money I needed something that was free. I searched google and came across freewebs and I am very happy I did. I created a 1 page site with all my links on it and use it for all my traffic exchange sites and for advertising on ptc sites. I could have created more pages just as easy on my site, but felt 1 is enough for now, but I can easily add more later if I want. I gave it a high rating and think it very much deserves it as it makes my life a lot simpler. For people new to creating a website, this is definitely for you.

Want to make your own website? Try Webs

Webs is very easy to use and a free website creating software on Internet. You can make websites for your personal use, for small groups or for doing business. I have made one website using webs and it was very easy and fast, it took about 20 minutes for me to do it. You don't have to have any special skills to make a website using Webs, just follow the instructions which are given there. You can choose different skins for your website, share photos, sell your products and services and much more. Try it!

Brilliant web creation site

If you are a complete beginner to web design, this site is probably for you. You don't need to know any programming in order to use this site and yet you can put almost anything on a site you create. It comes with a tutorial but is so simple you hardly need it. Your website can be almost anything, from a forum to an on line shop.

It does have a downside that unless you pay a considerable amount for membership and a domain name, your are quite limited as to what you can put on your site.

Also, if you have a free site, there are annoying ads and links to www. freewebs.com all over your site making it look unprofessional.

Overall, an effective web hosting site if you have little knowledge of programming and are prepared to put in a little bit of money.

Great for the Newbie or Hobbyists

The good thing about Webs is that if you know the bare minimum of Word, you can make a website quickly. I have had 3 sites there, both Premium and Free. My view is that Webs is good for personal, group, or hobby sites and getting started on the web. One thing that I did not see mentioned is the ability to have your own forums even with a free site, but it is a bit confusing.

If you want to really sell products and have a real store, the value is just not there. You will quickly discover that there are very limited things you can do with your site, including real SEO unless you know html and use it.

Over the past 5 years I have found that the glitches are getting fewer

but the slow and clunky editor leaves much to be desired, especially in page saving.

Webs Is Great !

Webs is a free on-line website builder , it's 100% free and you don't have to download anything. However the pages you build have ads stuck on them which is annoying but you can remove this by paying 20cents a day. I used it many times, and made many sites. When you use webs you can put youtube videos on it, upload images, upload html files, and more ! This website is NOT a scam, the staff is also very kind.

Free hosting and easy to set up. Webs is amazing!

A few months ago I decided I was going to make my very own website but I was a bit low on cash so thought I would have to wait and save up to pay for hosting and a domain.. But then I found Webs! They are brilliant and free! It took seconds to choose my free subdomain and then I used their excellent template and website builder to choose and customise how my website my website would look. It didn't take long at all and what I have to emphasize is how easy it was. Webs simple yet sophisticated layout is designed to benefit the customer and their customer service is absolutely amazing. Webs has helped me create my very own website and I will continue to use it because of it's excellence and simplicity and what's more, it's free!

Easy to use, and free too!

The first time I begun to use this, I was looking for a free website making software. The first software I found was Webs. I was surprised about how easy it works. Make your first site in only some minutes, without learning HTML.

But, you CAN use HTML too, so that is pretty awesome! I created my first site in some minutes, and when I was more experienced, my site became more professional and it became more fun to make a site! I already have got three sites made with Webs now. But there is only one thing; some people do not like sites created with Webs, because they think it's not professional or too easy to create then. They think that only a site created with HTML is professional enough.

I think this is extremely useful for people who want to create their own, first site, and do not want to learn HTML.

Wow! An Awesome Free Web Host

Few years back, I had used webs to host my small personal website. At that time I was not much satisfied with them. But after a few months, I re-joined them and found the website had lot of improvements. I found that the owners are trying their best to make the service as best as possible to their customers. Even today, they are doing well to maintain a good for the site. At first, the site layout is neat, simple and easy to navigate. The only downfalls about them is the ads and also the customer service is not too reliable. We get a variety of cool templates to choose from. The site builder is quite decent and easy to use. I have experienced very few downtimes but not for too long. They even allow us to have a small forum that can added from the site itself, so that we don't have to make forum separately and add it to our site. Other services include blog, a widget bank, counters, and much more. Overall, a fast, reliable and cheap web host.

Conclusion:

I recommend this web host to everyone who want to create small websites fast and easily. For a newbie, this would be the best way to go! Works great for simple websites.

Another Fantastic wesite builder

I came across free webs last year and I was more than satisfied with this software. It is absolutely brilliant and the best thing I like about it is that free members have loads of features available to them such as video uploads, SEO embedded codes, over 300 free templates, professional blog, calendars etc. I also love that you can custom design your own template and add to the list of already made templates available.

I actually didn't need to upgrade at all because as a free member I really got more than I bargained for. No html is required, but if you can use html you can add it onto your website. I have about 11 websites that I developed using free webs and it's brilliant. You can also add Google adsense codes, Amazon codes and just about any affiliate codes you may have for free.

My 11 websites perform very well using this software. All I needed to do is purchase domain package for all my websites which came to under $20 a year. You really don't need to upgrade at all unless you have some spare cash to spare but if you're strapped for cash then leave it at free membership as you get all the tools you need to develop a professional website. These guys get triple A+ rating from me!

Best out there

I have used many different services for website creations, and Webs.com is the best that there is.

One of the best things about Webs.com is the ability to have multiple sites under one email account. With most of the others that I have tried you have to create a new account for every site that you want to make, and if you are wanting to create a few sites then you see the problem. Who has that many E-Mail Addresses? The answer, no one.

Another good thing about it is the Widgets that they provide. Instead of having to go to different sites and copy their HTML codes you can do it all from your site builder. They make almost 100% of the site editable, and that provides for the best customized look with out creating all of the HTML coding yourself.

If anyone asked which service, I would recommend to them Webs.com. Truly the best I have seen.

The Extras are Fun and Easy to Use

I enjoy the way Webs makes available in their free service a broad range of items that make sites interesting and attractive.

In building several different sites through this service, I have been pleased at both the variety of images and extras available and also how the community of other web clients can help out in your work.

This free service gives the opportunity to build something special - - I would advise having a specific image in mind at the start and working thoughtfully, publishing frequently.

Administration and FAQ's are helpful, but sometimes leave you wishing for more. For a newbie on a tight budget, this is a great service.

A great service

I have several websites with Free Webs. The site is really easy to use, and it was easy to add html codes and photos. There is plenty of space so you can add a lot. I did put my first on line store on Free Webs. It was really easy to do, but my visitors had to scroll down the page and the pictures as well as the descriptions were all on the page. The visitor had to scroll through all of the pages to find what they wanted as Free Webs does not index the products, so that 20 or so are on one page. That is the only negative thing I have to say about Free Webs. Since that did not work for me, I went somewhere else for my store. However still have other services on Free Webs. Another thing that I really liked is that you can get statistics of how many hits your website got, and exactly what page they looked at. They do provide this for free, so that is really helpful. I would not recommend this for a store, but for blogs, or other services it is perfect.

Beginners only!

I used Webs for one of my school projects recently where we created a small blog. Being used to Wordpress, I see a lot of small quirks with Webs which I wish could be improved. On the upside, Webs allows users to create fast, free websites with ease. On the downside, anybody familiar with full customizable services such as Wordpress and Movable Type will be immediately turned off by it's lack of features and complexity.

It is a great starting point for beginners, but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody who is well versed on the internet.

One of the best subdomains services out there!

I have been using Webs for years now and I love it! It's easy to set up a site, the pre-made templates are wonderful, and the subdomain doesn't feel much like a subdomain. For example, compare Webs to Weebly. Would you rather your site be called "example. weebly.com" or "example. webs.com"? Webs.com just sounds more natural! I have made 5 different websites with webs, 4 of them dedicated towards getting referrals for a PTC. All have gotten me referrals and took literally a few hours to design. The other site was a gaming site, and the pre-made template fit in perfectly!

Honestly, if you want to have your own website for ANY purpose at all, Webs is the EASIEST and CHEAPEST (considering it's free!) way to do it! Rated A, wish I could rate it A++++!

The best site builder

I’m so glad I found this site, because I have been searching the web and tried a lot of other site builders and struggled, because it wasn’t easy enough to use. I will definitely be using Webs.com to build my next site as well.

I have had so many compliments about my website and my friends couldn’t believe that I build it myself. They are all trying it now as well. I just hope they will have more fonts and templates to choose from in the future.

Unfortunately you have to pay for the site if you want all the advertisements gone, but it is much cheaper than the other sites that I tried. If you are a beginner in website building then this is the perfect place to start. Depending on what kind of site you want to build, it can take you as quick as 2 hours to build a site.

FreeWebs - Good for Starters

Free Webs is probably the first choice for many people out there who want to start a blog or any other site of their choosing. This site was a great resource for starters except... they put ads on their templates which would kind of throw off users on how to get rid of it. Freewebs is probably the best for beginners because of it's ease of use. I'd have to admit, their templates are not the greatest but sufficient enough for beginners. This is probably the first place that all beginners go to, including me. I've actually built a website using freewebs, but eventually, I moved on to better things. This site is easy for beginners unlike other sites.

Perfect for beginners

Freewebs was the first Web site hosting site that I used. That was five years ago. I used it to make tip sites for only games. It is easy to use and html is not needed. You have many templates with many different themes. Also you can easily add a lot of things. Such as a logo, or a forum. If you can use html you can simply use it. Therefore is not just for beginners. Some of the possibilities are still not well developed. For beginners, it is easy to use. So you can easy make your site very professional.

A great website builder for beginners

This was the website builder I used to create my first ever website when I was younger, and it is very user friendly. It has many features, such as forums, guestbooks, chatboxes, and everything that a website needs. They also allow custom HTML, making it a good builder for all levels of web design - from beginner to programmer. I highly recommend this site for anyone who want to start a quick, well-built website, or anyone who is starting a website for the first time. They also offer pretty cheap domains, but if you don't want to pay, you get a sub domain, like "whatever. webs.com". There is also a small link at the bottom of your website that will advertise webs, but it is minor and can be removed with the purchase of a domain.

I Am Impressed

I just heard about Webs recently at a social website. I was thinking of creating other site and I decided to give this website generation service a try.

I must say, I am very impressed with this service. It is a excellent website and very easy to use. The interface is simple because it is a drag and drop system. The tools are great and simple. I really like the ready to use templates and there are so some many choices. It is also so easy to apply. My favorite thing about Webs is that you can add blogs and forums to your website for free.

In conclusion, I give Webs an B. It is really easy to use and there is free membership. Great for beginners and experienced users. I highly recommend this.

One of the best

I have used Webs.com many times when hosting forums, it is one of the most easiest sites to navigate and setup a site/forum. It is good for first timers because you can use pre-made themes/blogs without the hassle of coding a site etc.

There are a lot of limitations with the site, as in poor advertisements and the odd Downtime.

All in all this site is one of the best FREE web hosts, but if they cut down on the ads and had a better input of themes or the option to upload, than that would be a great site.

Great site!

I started with this site about 5 years ago when the previous web hosting service I was using decided to shut down. It was (and still is) the best free service out there, so I figured I should give it a try. I must say it was a lot better than the first website I used. It had the perfect option for beginners, with great layouts and stuff, but I chose the advanced option with HTML, since I had experience. I've tried them both and I find them both really good! Especially the beginner one, you don't have to sit and code anything, so I found it great! The only things I didn't like about WEBS was the fact that I had a webs.com domain name(which I can't complain about since I used the free version), and also the ads and the 'Freebar' which I find quite annoying. Other than that, I think it's an awesome opportunity for everyone to start a great website online without much hassle!

Good for beginners

Webs is certainly easy to use but the site doesn’t give you too many options when it comes to customizing your own website. You can use HTML to customize but doing so requires some experience in making websites.

Free templates are nice and there are a lot to choose from so you will most likely find something that pleases you and seems to fit the theme of your website.

The biggest con about Webs is ads that are placed on your website. The only way to remove them is to pay to get advanced account which allows you to make sites without ads.

Webs is a good site for anyone who needs a simple website and doesn’t care about the ads, but there are still many other good sites that offer free hosting with a better interface and without ads.

Good except for the ads

It's a good free host. Much more professional than most of the other free host sites out there. I gave this site a shot a while ago and was happy with it, but what I didn't find to be very attractive or convenient were the ads on every page. It made my website look sort of distasteful and unprofessional. They do however, have a lot of different options available with their free package, the one that stood out to me the most was the availability of e-commerce. The process of building a website was very easy and I had the basic layout ready the next day.

So although there are few things that Webs' free service could improve, it is good for beginners and students that are learning to design a website.

Good but Does Have Obtrusive Advertisements

I have been using freewebs for around a year now, and have experienced a lot of positive effects from the program. In my experience I found the domains and the advertisements to be the worst features of the site, however I guess the program is free and you get a great quality program for free. I found the site itself to be easy to navigate around and simple to work with, within an hour of my initial sign up to the program I had already made one site and began developing it. I believe that if it wasn't for webs I wouldn't have the caliber of websites I have today. Another feature of the website that I was really impressed with was the impeccable support, whenever I had a question about the program it was always answered within 5 - 10 hours! I highly recommend this program to anyone who is new to websites and website hosting!

Definetely what you need

I have used the 'Webs' software several times to make websites, and I can honestly say that it's very good.

Webs offers you a lot of customization when creating your website. If you're willing to put in enough time into your project, you can make your website look very professional.

Most people I know use Webs when making their websites because of results. Everyone I've talked to about Webs has had positive thoughts, so it is safe to say that Webs has a very good reputation with the everyday man.

I'm giving this a 'B' and not an 'A' just because of a few minor things:

- The control panel when designing your website seems very over-whelming when first seen, and could definitely be made a lot easier on the eyes.

- The '. webs.com' part of the URL can make the website not as easy to access, however this is expected with most websites that are made using other websites.

I strongly recommend this.

It's free so

I tried Webs several months back. I signed in as free member and immediately started generating my first webs.com site. I am no pro in website building, much more into html and css codes, but I was able to set it up with some guidance from their customer support. So my web.com site is running, but since it is just a free service there are some limitations and hassles. First the theme/lay out is limited, then there’s the ads and downtimes. I guess those are expected, if not, no one will pay to upgrade. I haven’t upgraded though, I am still weighing my options.

Great Free webs

I usually use wordpress .com to create a website but there is limited feature.

Finally I find webs .com which provides free services.

I like to use it because it is simple. Just drag and drop, your site complete.

The reasons include:

1. There are many templates that can be selected so I can use in accordance with the topic of my website.

2. The setting is easy to do, just drag and drop with the existing features.

3. They can add blogs and forums for free.

4. The server loading time is very quick and the most important is, the server is rarely down.

Many features Including forum but not SEO friendly

I like blogging and first time I was blogging I used a free service like wordpress, blogger, and this freewebs.

What I like from freewebs is you can create forum for your blog and site with easy clicks. You only need to drag and drop from the provided template to make a page and post. There are enough template and themes to use and it's easy to setup.

What I don't like is that I can't create a meta tag and meta description to optimize it in search engine result pages. Overall the freewebs is not SEO friendly, but I don't know with their upgraded membership. The other things is you will get ads in your site with sub domain name like XXX. webs.com. I think they got money from this adsense in our site.

I still give this site "pretty good" because there are many features you can use for a free host like this.

It's Good But Has Ads

Everyone wants hosting, most of the time without ads. However that is not the case with Webs. The thing I did love about this site is it was an easier interface for me to use, the control panel was easier and it was great when I used it to first start out with making websites. I just didn't like the ads.

Webs offers small space, but enough for one to start a small personal site or blog, or even a small business. I used it for a small blog using the free templates they offer, which are not perfect, but nice enough to use.

I love the fact that when I had a problem or a question, they were answered within 2-4 hours. I also like that this type of hosting makes you feel at home. I recommend it for beginners and beyond. This host has always been a favorite, even if the ads are a bit annoying.

Rate it a B

About four years ago is when I first came upon freewebs and back then it was basically the #1 choice of a free website to learn and improve your webmastering skills. It has improved over the years and still in my eyes remains one of the top free website builders/hosters. I recently made an affiliate website through them and noticed they have done a lot of work with it, you now have several templates to choose from, forums, and a lot more. I would recommend there services to anyone beginning or with little experience as it basically spoon foods you to building your website.

Great! Especially for beginners

I've been using webs for about two years now and I have to say it's fantastic! The page building system is very easy and fun to use, making editing simple as can be. It truly makes building a website fun and easy; adding images and links is as simple as can be. However, there are two things I would like to mention about it.

The number of pages that can be created for each site is restricted to I believe 10 or 13, meaning people who want to create large websites with tons of pages and text shouldn't use Webs, and even those who just want to make a simple website should plan what and how many pages it should have beforehand. Also, due to it's massive popularity the server can lag immensely at time, causing save errors. I only find this to be a problem sometimes, but still, I felt it was important to mention.

So, besides those two pet peeves, webs is... well, amazing.

Not the best

I have tried out webs and have to say it is not user friendly. The features are sort of hard to navigate around. For example, it's hard to add widgets from other websites instead of using webs' widgets. Also, it is good for bloggers, but it is not professional for other activities such as beginner businesses, hobbies, small professions such as artists, etc. There is just one big block to write and some smaller ones to add pictures or other things.

It's great! If only

I have used webs for about over a year now. The service is really great for being free. Free domain (YOURSITE. WEBS. COM), Free limited hosting with 25 free web entry form per month. The website is really easy to use because I am a beginner in website making and I have had no problems making a website using web! Their website also features a blog, which is a major plus because who wouldn't want a blog + a website? That's like peanut butter + jelly! The only set back is that the website doesn't have much "good looking" templates. Since most of the templates are either mediocre or okay at best, it becomes a little unappealing. Even their paid themes/templates looks crappy. But other than that, for a free service, this website does a wonderful job. I strongly recommend all beginners in website making to give this website a try! Grade it a B+!

I’m giving an A to Webs

Webs sitebuilder is professionally designed and is easy to use. At first, I thought website development wasn't meant for anyone who is not deeply sounded with programming codes, but Webs proved to me wrong. Through Webs I got to know that I don’t need to be a genius programmer before I can designed a website.

I made my first website site using Webs. It’s attractive and worth visiting. I love Webs templates themes, they are really awesome and cool.

At the process of using Webs, all my questions were answered within 12Hrs. Webs online support is the best I have experienced so far.

This is the only web site builder that allowed me to edit the entire page, including logos to meet my choice and specs. The beauty of my website made me signed up for the Starter package from Webs, and it’s really cool.

I signed up for only $49.95 per year and I received 150 minutes video storage, and had 9 Google advertising credit, with 400 MB of web storage space.

I recommend this service to both business owners and for those interested in making some money with ads, and online store builders. I made my web store for just $49.95. And I’m giving an A to Webs.

Wouldn't use for a business site

Well first the free service is incredibly slow based on my experience. The paid service is severely lacking and will nickel and dime you for things like adding extra items to your store, something that is free if you use an open source cart on a regular hosting plan. If you need a simple place holder type free page it may be ok, but for a serious business website I would stay away. I understand it is aimed at noobs but the setting up of a joomla site on a host isn't all that hard and and will give you infinite more flexibility in the long run.

Great for new users!

I started using this website when I was new to the internet. This was my first choice to make a subdomain website. It was called "freewebs" at the time. I was still in elementary school at that time and I couldn't handle css/html/codes. It's very easy to use and edit! The designs are simple but useful!

I think that this website would be good for newbies and NOT expert web designers. If you're an expert in all things coding, I recommend you use another website that lets you use PHP or FTP.

An excellent service to make your first site !

My first site on the internet was with Webs, it was a really easy task to complete, the thing that makes Webs an amazing web site for beginners that it gives the user an easy way to select a theme for the site, with more then 300 templates you could choose from. Also the editing of the site you get is really easy, with an WYSIWYG editor, it will be like editing any text file in your computer.

After creating the site there are many "plugins" that you can add, like a forum or a calendar or even a blog! The management of these "plugins" is as easy as the making of the site itself, you can even protect some or all your site with a password, without code editing or even a programing knowledge.

Highly Recommended

Webs is a spectacular free web hosting program. I have been using Webs to host my own websites for as long as I can remember and I will continue to use them for as long as they are around. The main reason I continue to use Webs is because of all of the different templates they have to offer. I can choose from around 300 unique and professional looking templates to start making my websites. Also Webs makes building a website so simple and user friendly. All you need to know how to do is drag and drop. I have around 10 websites that I have made with the help of Webs and they are very fast and efficient. I also have several other websites that I use in traffic exchanges. I love using Webs with these because I can see how many visitors they receive each day. Probably one of the most enjoyable parts about Webs is support team they have. Whenever I have a question or concern they always treat me with the utmost respect and help as much as possible. Webs has been an invaluable resource to me and I recommend it to everyone.

Webs is just ok

I know that there are quite a few free online website builders and free webs.com just happens to be a popular one. Though of it's popularity, I chose to delete my account/website due to the server problems. My site was constantly down or loaded slowly due to the site's maintenance and I didn't like that much; my site was photography and I would not want to lose any business due to the servers being overloaded.

It does well if you just need a quick personal website to hit the online world. It is really easy to use and there are so many tools at your side to build your personal site. Templates already made so you don't have to edit any codes or anything like the hard work you normally would do. Like I said, pretty easy for those who want their personal site up and running with little work at all.

Would recommend to someone who might be new to making a website, but not for those know about web coding and want an advanced site layout.

I Love Webs!

I have been using Webs for about 2 months now. I use it with my home business of Interior Remodeling and I also have a blog site that I made on there. It is very easy to use and is completely free. You can also pay a little money to get your own domain site like www. yournamehere.com in stead of www. yournamehere. webs.com. Overall it is a GREAT site to check out.

Worth trying out

Webs is a great place to make a website but in my opinion not the best but still fun, easy to use and it's free. I didn't come across Webs until my Computer Teacher told me to make a Website on it to post pictures of all the stuff I made in computer class. So far it's really simple to use and I didn't really have any trouble with it. I got to customize the site the way I wanted which is pretty nice.

Top choice making a new website

Webs is very easy to use. They go through it step by step and they have many themes and colors to choose from. There are no ads imposed on any pages of your website, however, you can enable Google ads and get some cash in your pocket. Making pages using pagebuilder is the easiest thing ever. You do not need to know any programming such as html or javascript to make your site in Webs. You can use widgets such as games, weather, visit counters, etc. Webs is fun and easy to use. I have over four websites using webs and I will continue to make more websites. Webs can be used by anyone to make very sleek and neat websites that will impress others.

Pretty good :)

I made 2 websites 3 months ago with Webs, I found out that Webs is a pretty good free sitebuilder, the sitebuilder is very easy to use, good for beginners, but if you are a bit of a pro, you can use better site builders like Ucoz, because I don't like the Webs designs, and because it hasn't the options I like. You can also pay your own domain if know how to script it. But it's great for beginning scripters, because they really ‘baby step’ it, so you’ll quickly learn how to use it. It’s free, so why don’t you just give it a try.

Webs is great hosting with reasonable prices and great services!

I have made 3 websites and all 3 are using Webs.com service. 2 of them are paid and 1 free. Main reasons why I like webs.com:

1. Reasonable prices for hosting.

2. Very easy to use page builder, you are making your page like word document.

3. Huge templates and layouts collection. If you get bored of your layout you can change it in few clicks.

4. You can add web store, chat, forum, applications, counters, widgets, and it all not doesn't require special computer skills. Which I personally don't have.

5. You can add google ads etc on to your site or on sidebars. (don't want to advertise my own site here, but check it from my signature - made in webs.com)

6. you can buy domain, if you want, but also you can only pay small price for removing ads from your free page, and also you can pay by subscription, which is handy I think.

7. Sounds like I am advertising the program here, but I really do love webs.com. It's my 1st A graded program here on IMRC!

In 1 years time site was down for couple hours 2 times - that's could be a downside, but I think all providers have some crashes sometimes.

Overall - highly recommended service to create your website (especially if you don't have advanced computer skills or don't want to create complicated websites. )

A site that's worth a try

After signing up and making one free account at this website, it is clear that this is a site that's worth a try. The applications are plenty and interesting, you can chose whether it's a personal, groups, or a business site. The most important thing about making a good website to me is the domain name, this site has a very short and simple domain name, so that it can be easily remembered. The themes are also interesting, you can choose plenty of themes there, and most of them are really cool themes.

But the weakness about this site is definitely about the price of the premium account. I can make much more cool websites without spending a lot of many just like what this site offer.

But in the end, I would recommend this site for you, because in my opinion, the themes are really cool, and the domain is short and simple so that it can easily remembered.

A good website builder and host for beginners

I tried out Webs back when I was doing a website for a class project the. It was called freewebs then until they changed it to webs.

The pros of Webs:

They offer easy to use interface and tools.

Ready to use templates are available to use and is easy to apply.

Easy to sign up and offers satisfactory memory space.

Supports html and css. This feature is available for some advanced users who downgrade their account to HTML only account.

It offers a Sitebuilder for free which is just like creating a word document.

Cons:

It does not support swf files. I tried to upload some files before because I wanted to create a flash website. I was able to upload it but unfortunately they do not support it.

Sitebuilder is too simple. Font styles are limited and as well as the size.

Difficulty applying CSS. I downgraded to HTML only then because I found it hard to use CSS with the regular free account. But after downgrading I was stuck with HTML and was not able to return to the regular account.

All in all Webs is a good web host especially for beginners. Though it does not support some file types, still it supports the basic files like HTML.

I recommend this. I'm giving it a B.

Very nice, recommended

When I came across this site, it made a pretty good impression on me, so I decided to see if this can be a good site-building provider. I was right – it’s a great site. They have almost everything you might need for your website. 300 templates are a great start; you won’t need much more than that. Webs uses the drag and drop system to add things to your site, like videos, widgets and other things. It’s pretty intuitive and easy to use, so that’s a big plus to the site. Of course it’s pretty easy to add forums, blog or both. It took me only several days to create a great site with this one and my forum there is already starting to get populated by users. The site has several packages. Personally I use the “Enhanced” one for $100 a year. It’s pretty balanced in terms of content and price.

My personal opinion on WEBS

In my experience, Webs has proved to be a valuable source when it comes to creating your own personalized website in just minutes.

I used a Webs website for a school assignment one year and NEVER had a problem with it in terms of a server shutting down or user functionality, As I would usually experience with other website builders / developers that I have used in the past.

My overall rating of the site is pretty high as even a basic member will get the star treatment that I experienced when I used the company.

If you are looking for a quick and easy to use website builder, then I would highly recommend them for their customer service skills and professionalism that shines out from the rest.
