WorldWide Brands Description

Worldwide Brands is a membership site that helps you locate products at wholesale prices. The site can be used to get ideas for niche stores, to see what kind of products are viable in your market, and which products can be sold for profits. The site is run by Chris Malta who has a great reputation for his knowledge of niche marketing and working with ecommerce sites.

WorldWide Brands Detailed Overview

If you're planning on starting an eBay business or want to set up an ecommerce store, you're bound to come up against two kinds of challenges. One is figuring out what to sell and the other is finding a reliable wholesaler/distributor that offers a great price. You can either try locating these sources on your own or use a directory that lists all different types of merchants with thousands of different products.

Worldwide Brands is such a directory. The site claims that there are over 8.1 million wholesale products you can find. They have wholesalers that know how to work with online stores, dropship, and offer competitive prices. The site also has many resource tools, video training, workbooks, and tutorials on working with eBay, Amazon, and Yahoo.

Once you login, you can start by entering keywords and picking the category to find the kinds of products that you’re looking for. You’ll notice that you can see if the suppliers dropship and/or ship lightbulk. I really like the fact that you can save your searches if you have a group of results you want to come back later.

When you do find distributors you may want to work with you can add them to your favorites so you can access them later. Want to know how the product will fare? You can use the built-in market research tool that tells you how well a product may sell. You will see how much competition you’re up against, what keywords are being used, and even see their ads.

What separates Worldwide Brands from other sites is the comprehensive training. They have video training that helps you get set up quickly and do it right the first time around. There are eBay experts that teach you how to set up a profitable store as well as ecommerce experts that know how to set up niche ecommerce stores.

WorldWide Brands Reputation

In conclusion, I’m really impressed by Wholesale Portal. It’s probably the best supplier directory site I have used. The site has gotten positive reviews from customers and many have said the interface is very helpful in finding the products they’re looking to sell.

I really like the fact that the site lets you know which suppliers dropship, which are liquidating, which you need to import from, and which you deal with buying in bulk. This is very helpful in figuring out who to work with as each is a different situation and can come out to different costs. I highly recommend Worldwide Brands as they give you everything you need to find the right products and set up shop on the Internet.

Need better market research tool

They have a lot of suppliers but it takes time to find that profitable product that is in demand and have good profit margin, a lot of people make mistake of trying to sell electronics and gadgets but you won't be able to find brand-name electronics like Apple, Sony, LG… at wholesale price with Worldwide Brands. Don't expect to find rock-bottom prices inside their directory unless you're buying in bulk or dealing with liquidation items. To find profitable products you need market research, unfortunately WWB build-in market research tool doesn't provide enough data to make informed decision on whatever or not you'll make money with particular product. Usually I use WWB search to find a product and then use Terapeak for market research.

eCommerce tools I use:

Terapeak | Hammertap | Worldwide Brands | Doba | Salehoo

Dropshipping

Price on here were questionable for me. They use a 'list price' that they base the savings on, but many times the price it outdated and is the very highest price for that item that has since went down. This didn't work that good with auctions because you can actually lose money if bidders don't bid high enough for you to profit. I did not find this dropshipping company that helpful.

Good, Used to be Better

I’ve been a customer with Worldwide Brands for a few years. Seems like it’s actually gotten worse with age, to be honest. I’ve found that the suppliers often don’t even respond to e-mails, which was supposedly a requirement for being listed in the Directory. Maybe the company’s once strict qualifications has gone lax, I don’t know, but I do know that the response rate I’ve gotten recently has not only been significantly lower (almost zero), but the ones that have responded have asked me strange questions (ie – “do you have a brick-and-mortar retail store? What do you want with us?”). It’s a clever system though, and there’s only a one-time fee, so it’s likely worth the investment if you’re looking to break into drop-shipping.

WorldwideBrands.com - Scam Reports?

I was very surprised to read this reviewer's comments about Scam Reports for WorldWide Brands. My experience is that the World Wide Brands website has a whole section on how to avoid scams which has been most useful to me. I was even able to get money back from a coaching company scam when I thought it was lost. Chris Malta, the WorldWide Brands CEO, even has a website specifically devoted to scams: chrismalta.com. I have been following his war against scammers in his road trip across the USA, talking on radio shoes in major US cities and meeting with local people who have been scammed. It's worth a visit at chrismalta/roadtrip.

Worldwidebrands.com is AWESOME!

We wanted to start an online retailing business selling themed kids bedrooms. Our use of the Worldwidebrands.com Product Sourcing Tool allowed us to:

1. Identify those themes and items people were searching on the Internet to buy.

2. We were able to see the recent demand for our searchwords and other keywords we had not thought of. This led us to alternative product choices.

3. We were able to see in advance what our competition looked like and how they priced on websites, eBay Auction listings and Amazon.

4. We were able to discuss demand and negotiate price with the wholesaler because we were equipped with information before we made the first call to each wholesaler.

All the research information was available within seconds. In time savings alone, we recovered our $299 within days. Other cheaper sites we looked at had wholesaler lists, but their research tools and supporting free education were really lacking. It's not about just getting a wholesaler's name and address. It's about what you know when you call the wholesaler to begin your business relationship.

Okay, never made a dime

This site is a directory of drop shippers (the program that I had, there are a few now on the site like light-bulk). There is only some information on how to do the business of drop shipping on the site.

Many of the website links are available online for free, but the ones in the directory are supposedly pre-checked and are real suppliers as opposed to simply middleman.

I needed a tax ID number to use the websites listed in the directory. Fine, no problem. But, even with the products and selling on Ebay, I never turned a profit.

This site might be good for someone with an online store WITH good traffic. For me, it was simply a waste of money, but as it is a lifetime membership, maybe I will use it in the future.

Great Tool for E-commerce business entrepreneurs

When I first started looking for ways to make money on the internet, my first logical idea was to sell something. However, I had no idea on what to sell or where to get it from. I ran across other services and did extensive research and overall I felt pretty uncomfortable with some of the things I read. When I came across Worldwide Brands, it struck me as different because one, Chris Malta gave away so much free information. This immediately caught my attention so I decided to dig deeper.

I went to a few review sites and finally to the worldwide brands website and saw some tools that intrigued me. The "Onesource" tool was the one of the most compelling, simply because it comprised hours of data into this one user friendly tool and it came back with pretty fair results. I also enjoyed the "WholeSale", which are video segments Chris and the other co-owner of WWB created to explain the whole process of drop shipping, light bulk, and importing, the different levels of the wholesale business. This helped me tremendously with understanding what to do and how to do it.

The only thing I didn't like about WWB is when it comes to finding a niche, they have many good tools to help you with, but when you're a beginner this is the most difficult task. If chances are you were like me and starting out with a tight budget, some of the better products to help you find a niche they offer can take a toll on your pocket, making it a little difficult if you are unsure of what you want to sell. However, there are many free e-books they give you to help guide you in the right direction, and one thing they do emphasize on is long-tail niches, which are the easiest ways for smaller businesses to gain profits, but they are the hardest to find.

Overall, I enjoyed working with this service and would recommend it to anyone who wants to start out in selling products online. The service at WWB is definitely worth all it says it is and if you use all the tools wisely then you will have a great chance of making money. The main focus here though is long tail niche, and if you can master that, then all the tools offered there will compliment your strategy and take you where you want to go.

Worldwide Brands not for everyone

I have been a member of WWB for about a year now. They do have a great database of wholesalers, but many of them will not let you sell on ebay or Amazon. A good percentage also want you to have an established website before they will talk to you. I also found that many of the listed wholesalers do not even bother responding to your emails. Until you are accepted by the wholesaler, you generally do not see pricing. I have found that once you add in your drop shipping fees, it is awfully hard to compete with other stores or auctions that somehow can sell products at a price lower than you can get them. I did find some useful wholesalers to use, so it was not a complete waste of money.

I found their staff to be very efficient in answering emails and questions promptly. But if you choose to use this service, be prepared for a lot of work. Personally I prefer affiliate marketing, not having to worry about getting products shipped out and not having my financial info spread all over the place.

Great E-commerce Resource

I joined WorldWide Brands over a year ago because I was interested in drop shipping. Drop shipping is a great way to start because you don't have to keep an inventory. I liked the fact that I could pay once and have a lifetime membership. WorldWide Brands offer a huge database full of product wholesalers, including those who offer drop shipping. You search by product or brand. What I like most is that you don't just get a list of wholesalers, the search also gives you research information about product demand, competition, etc. This helps you figure out what products will make you the most money. One thing, the wholesalers listed in the WorldWide Brands database won't do business with individuals, you must be a legitimate company with a valid tax id. This is a great website to visit even if you don't join. WorldWide Brands offers a bunch of free resources for anyone interested in e-commerce.

For Entrepreneurs...

Good place for entrepreneurs... this site gives you a lot of helpful information about how you can build an online store. They charge for a lifetime membership of $299 which always comes with at least 2-3 months free of selling from either Yahoo stores, Amazon stores plus some other helpful products you will need for your business. They will provide you with a lot information, training, free eBooks, videos and more.

Based on what you want to sell, they have a database that can give important statistics about your products, how many times people look for them, how many providers they have and more. I personally like it. You can also sign up for their affiliate program which pays you %25 for every membership purchased through your affiliate ID and %10 each for theirs. It's great!
