Yola is a free and paid web hosting membership service that provides members with tools and resources for building websites, as well as a format within which to host them. Formerly known as “Synthasite”, this web hosting service has been around since 2007, and was founded by online entrepreneurs Brent Viljoen, Trevor Harries-Jones, Vinny Lingham, Stefan Lourens and Peter Bodechtel.
One of the things that people really like about the Yola web hosting service is that the owners and staff are constantly striving to keep up with internet innovations and customer needs. Many people use the free web hosting that this service offers, and are quite happy with it. With the free web hosting service, you can create a website using one of their templates, customize a lot of the features of the site to suit your needs, and populate it with your own content and graphics.
You can choose a domain name to use through the service for free, but the domain name will have the Yola name in it as well. For example, if you choose the domain name “MarysToyStore” through the service, it will look like “Marystoystore.yola.com”. You can choose to purchase a domain name through the service as well, though, and it won’t have the company’s name attached to it. Or, you can purchase a domain name somewhere else and simply have it point to the site you’ve created through the service.
There are many templates to choose from when creating a website in Yola, and the service also offers a host of extra features for your site that you can use any time. These include such things as HTML code boxes that you can work with, a widget box gallery, and the ability to add Google maps, videos, and an online store to your site. You get all of this for free, but you can also upgrade to paid membership to get more storage space for your sites, more sites in one account, and some nice one-time bonuses, such as some free advertising. Upgrading to a pro account costs $49.95 per year.
Yola has an excellent reputation on the internet as a reliable and feature-packed web hosting and web building program. Reports from people who use it are that the features are outstanding, the customer support–even for free members–is responsive, and the staff is always willing to listen to suggestions for improving the service. The free account is just fine for many people, but even the cost of the pro account is more than reasonable. This service is worth checking out.

Another Good Free Website Builder It has been a while since I've used Yola, but it's not because I don't like it. It is actually one of the best free web builders I've used. The pricing is actually very cheap if you choose the right plans. There are bronze and silver plans. Bronze: $4.95Silver: $9.95 You can also get domain names for as low as $1 a month. Yola is free so I would recommend it more to beginners or people who don't want to mess with all the advanced website builders out there. |

Do Not Use This DO NOT USE THIS! I'm serious because I once got a coupon for one free year of web hosting and as soon as I signed up it asked for it so I put the coupon and it did not charge anything. And so I was building the website and by the time I was finished it asked for me to either use a coupon or pay for it, so I put the coupon again and it said that it had already been used so therefore it will either make you pay twice or get two coupons. So good luck with doing either if you don't have a credit card nor a pay pal

A very great platform! This was a really great platform to create a site with. They have many options and gadgets to choose from that you can place on your site, and they really make the entire concept of creating a website much easier. To obtain your own domain is at a very reasonable price too, compared to all of the other 'create your website and buy a domain name' sites that I've encountered! This is especially good for beginning businesses that lack a website and need a way to easily initiate payments for their products/services. On top of that, the designs that they provide for the site are quite attractive.

Great for any beginners So far, I have been using this site to create my own. I would highly recommend this for beginners, who don't know about html coding and all that other stuff, and also want to create their own site. But if your an advanced user, I would suggest you do it yourself unless you want to create a free non-paid site. As for the price rates to upgrade I would say it's okay, because by upgrading they give more apps in their web builder to assist you.

Yola is a rip off ! I tried it for a year. Not very hard to customize even though their templates are not very aesthetically interesting compared to what we see on the market these days. What really makes me MAD is their 'FREE HOSTING TRICK'. How on earth will they sell A DOT COM for about $30 with a silver plan of $99 and tell me hosting is free when others are charging $9 for a domain name and $3/hosting for unlimited domains??? In other words if I own 10 websites, I need to pay about $400 each year just for renewal??? Is this not ridiculous??? Do the Math.

Amazing Site For New Users Or Experienced! I first joined this site a few months ago and upon joining it was very easy to use. Yola has a great range of templates and designs for new web pages. You can choose from paid or free web hosting which is great for people wanting to make a free website or those who want to pay to make more from it. This site is great for new users who have never tried this before and also for those who are very experienced! Would Definitely Recommend. |

Good for beginners I tried yola site to make my site for free. They offer a good range of services and cost effective solutions to build web sites. Their web hosting plans are one of the cheapest plans in industry. Yola site also offers your online earning through google adsense program and you can also do search engine optimization techniques to your site.

Free Webhosting and Easy Website Builders Tumbling into Yola is a cool thing. I'm not a techie person when it comes to web designing, but with Yola, you dont have to possess technical skills, you can set up a good looking professional website in no time. With lots of attractive customized templates to choose from, 1G free file storage that's quite big enough and maximum of 5 websites to host for each user which is a great privilege, right? I have three websites in the pipeline that I hosted it to Yola all absolutely free and it's running for more than 3 years already. I also learned about their referral program recently, all you have to do is to sign up to a commission junction and once your website was approved, you will be granted a Yola ad, that once a visitor clicks it and purchases a domain or you personally refer a friend you can earn cash out of it. Wow in my humble opinion, you need to experience it on your own and see it for yourself :)

Yola is definitely the best free website building and free hosting Yola.com is a free site builder and a free hosting company whichhas free as well as paid plans. It's easy to use tools will certainly help anybody with very little or no knowledge of html and website programming. Its interface is so user friendly that any newbie can start building webpages in minutes after free registration. It's so easy to Create and post your website. The Yola.com customer support is amazing if you get stuck somewhere it can immediately help you. It has a massive template library to choose from. You can choose from plenty of categories too. Its very easy to follow yet so powerful that the websites built by yola.com are seo friendly and so ranked higher. I would definitely refer yola.com. |

A Good Place for Starters Yola is a good option for those who want a website but have no knowledge of design, installation, hosting, etc. Yola is a very user-friendly site, you can create a website easily without knowing any HTML or JavaScript languages. This service provides a lot of templates for your site. I think this service is ideal for people who are starting on IM, Blog, website creation for business, etc. One thing that I like about Yola is their support team. The 24/7 availability of online customer support is outstanding. They are very quick to respond any question about the service, offering helpful suggestions. There are a couple disadvantages though. I was disappointed I was not able to fully customize my website. Second, if there is a lot of content on a site, it takes a very long time to load. But, this is a free service, we can not expect that everything works fine on a free service. In general, Yola is a good service for anyone who is starting in everything related to the creation of web pages. |

Not for me I guess Yola is great for beginners with it's super easy drag and drop interface. It comes with a bunch of free templates but editing the template's code costs some money. I wanted to edit the template CSS on my website and they told me I had to purchase a $100 dollar upgrade to do so!

Yola yola yola! Hey. This yola site is not some sort of selling things, but build your website for free of charge. You can make your website with not one single penny dropping out from your pocket. Of course this site has a very good theme and is nice but it's not a .com site; but it's a yola.com site. example:(sitename). yola.com. You can even sell your things by creating a shopping site.

Great resource! I have used Yola to design a couple of my websites. Yes, it's a little complicated to design a site but once you get the hang of it things will move a lot faster and smoother for you. I suggest that newbies read into web designing first, before trying to use Yola. I love using Yola because of it's cheap services and free advertising bonuses, not to mention their free web hosting offers. I recommend that small companies or stores use Yola to design and promote their business. It is extremely cheap and reliable. It might take some time for you to get used to the features, but it's definitely worth every penny. |

Not A Big Fan! I have to say that I'm not that big fan ... I signed up couple a weeks ago to build a website , and I like all the free stuff and all that (designs.. etc) but I'm having a hard time editing my site. I'm not a ''tech'' person at all, so I do think this is a little bit complicated, and you def have to know something about building a website. You may not agree, but that's just my opinion + I'm all new to making websites... so I'll guess I just have to patient, and do my homework.. lol :) |

Hard to work I signed up to build websites on Yola a month ago. There are lots of fun and free options on design and structure, but I am having trouble editing my web page, because I don't know too much about this and I can't seem to format the page the way I want to. It'll be a great free website platform once I get the hang of it, I guess. But I just need to keep on trying.

It's Yola! I'm a satisfied customer. My experience with Yola was a very pleasant one. I had bought the Yola Premium voucher ( that's like 500 bucks). It includes everything from domain fees, registration of the site, even those one time credits to use products which Yola partnered with, free logo etc. Well I got my money's worth with the design help which was provided with the premium package. Its just like hiring someone to design your site but cheaper. I got my 5 page website done within a few days with all the modifications and extensions I wanted. So by the 4th day my site was up and working. The statistics provided here is not as good as google analytics but no regrets. The coding part when I had to add a few pages to the site after a few months went smooth, no problem occurred for the new page integration. The customer assistance is superb. I had one of the most wonderful experiences, but lately I have shifted my hosting to another provider. Beginners I recommend the yola premium, I know it's like half a grand but if you are an amateur at web designing why risk business by making a shabby site. As they say the first impression is the last. Last feature, the free package is always there since the beginning. I give this product A+. |

Yola Is Awesome! I was looking for a free site that could help me build a really nice looking website with professional looking templates and found Yola to be an awesome opportunity. The system was very easy and navigation was a cinch. I had my website up and ready to put into search in less than an hour. Yola has awesome graphics and also offers opportunity for you to upgrade and get help with web traffic. After about 7 months with Yola, I am very pleased with their website design options and their easy to use features. I will be with Yola for a long time to come.

Great Site! I've been using this site ever since it was called synthasite. You don't need any experience to create your very own webpage(s). It's fast and basic, so you'll never get lost. You can make your site look professional with just a few simple clicks. Create website tabs, add text, pictures, titles, downloads, and more! Lets say you want to sell software that you created to people, all you have to do is drag a store widget onto your website and add the item(s) and put the price. It's as simple as 123. I HIGHLY recommend that you use this site. I never had any bad experiences, and I've been using it for 2 years.

Pretty good! I used Yola to create a simple money making blog for myself, and it is a success! Yola has hardly any downtime and hardly and server/technical issues. They have great service, whenever I need an answer for a question they reply within a day at the most. Staff is very nice and are willing to actually listen to you. If you're a beginner, definitely go with Yola because it has great site building tools for forums, blogs, and more. I've been using Yola Pro for six months now and have been completely satisfied, keep up the good work Yola!

Simply Great! try it out I have a hosting site and multiple domains, when I came across this site I wasn't sure how to point my domain to a server. I got to say these were simple easy- to- follow instructions that had my test site up and running within a few hours. Yola is for those with no previous web design, so keep in mind that there are limitations to this type of website... there is limited edition that you can perform on your own. There are simple CSS templates much like the design you may see in wordpress. Nonetheless, your Store/website would still look great. Long story short! I really love the site because of the speedy manner of the process, the look and feel of it. I was able to config. my PayPal with no problem I hope people are able to take advantage of this site. |

Great Service I love this site. I use it to host two websites. They offer great tools to help you create a website for any business. They have lots of templates for you to choose from. You can choose to use the site for free or to pay a small fee and have even more options. The only down side to using the free version is that they add . yolasite to the end of your domain name. I would recommend this site to anyone who would like to create a website for their business.

Fast, easy to use, affordable Yola doesn't work very well with Opera, but I have no issues when using it with with FireFox. This is an excellent website/blog builder with a slew of useful tools to help create a dynamic and exciting website and/or blog (you can mix both). It supports AdSense, YouTube, Flickr, Skype, you can add a chat room and much more. And with all of these features neatly arranged in easy to navigate menus, it doesn't get too much for even inexperienced users. Yola requires a link to their own website on your pages, however you can have it removed for $9.95 per year, which is a nice option if you don't want to pay for a full Premium membership at $49.95. The HTML code for the main body content can be edited and the page headers are given the H1 tag automatically, which is good for SEO. The text editor is the usual WYSIWYG and it does the job as expected. The HTML templates look good for the most part, and I found a clean, professional looking template that I wanted to use right away. Yola offers an exhaustive list of options, and it suffice to say that it is an excellent, efficient and easy to use website builder. I prefer building my sites myself, but I have added Yola to my list of tools I recommend my referrals when they need to build their own website but don't have the skills necessary. |

Well done Yola! I joined Yola a couple of months ago. I made a Website for my company. You have a lot of choices. There are many beautiful templates to choose from. Also, you've got many tools to use. It is also easy to use. For a free web hosting program, it has the many choices. In particular, selecting a theme is very easy. You can see a list, and you then simply click the theme you want. You can use without a loss, because it is free of charge. It is even better than some of the paid host programs. Well done Yola! |

Thumbs up For Yola! Yola is the best free web hosting site I've come across. Yola was an easy procedure I couldn't have done it better myself. It had many options to choose from. The procedure is really easy you just type the link you want it to have and theme and it's done. And many more features. Yola's customer support service is brilliant I always got an answer within 1 hour. A big A for Yola. |

Yola, it is beautiful ! Yola is truly magnificent. I tried two other free web hosting programs in the past, and this is much easier to use and better quality. I wanted to surprise my mother for her birthday, so I joined up with them and registered a domain-name which included my moms name and then it got hosted, all for free! The great thing is that don’t need any experience at all to build your website. All you have to do basically is select the theme that you want to use, type up the title and the content that you want to have, and it is all done. I cannot claim enough how great they are. Even if you don’t like it, you can change hosting service and you wouldn’t have lost a single dollar.

Great way to show your website! I first tried using this website last year when I needed to build a website for the rest of my staff to be able to access certain company information and contacts. It was really easy to setup and easy to use. Even the process of finding a host name was pretty easy as well. I know how some websites can make their website names really long, but with Yola, they still keep it nice and simple to remember. I would gladly recommend this to anyone who need to make a quick website with all the convenient tools necessary.

The Best Place To Make Your First Website I decided to make me a website about 20 minutes ago. Yola is definitely user friendly, good for people like me and others who have no idea about coding a website. Had a bit of problems whilst I was in the process of making me a website a put forward a support ticket. my support ticket was answered with 15 minutes. Never before have I had a support ticket answered that fast on any site. Yola gets a 'thumbs up' from me and I recommend it to anyone who wants to make a website for free and with ease. |

Yola vs GoDaddy I tried Yola as my Web hosting site but found it was really quite difficult to make changes. Also, you are very limited to the things and amount of space. I used the templates that they provided which were really quite good, but again, not specific enough for the type of webpage I need. I like to discuss raw food and needed a template which showed lots of fruits and veggies. No such animal on Yola. The were constantly asking for me to upgrade to a premium account. But until you can get a site to making money, upgrading is just not an option. |

Great Service! A person I know previously used Yola for a domain he had with no hosting, he set the domain to redirect to his Yola website, and then covered the link up, so it still read:http://hisdomain.com/ He was very impressed with the templates that came included with his free service, and had a active site up and running in no time, using the site builder included. This is one of the best free website creation services around, and I would personally thoroughly recommend it! Some points to remember.. Last time I used the free version, they had a small link at the bottom of your page, saying: Made by Yola With a hyperlink to their website, however it's free, so you can't really complain, and if your that concerned about it, why not upgrade to Yola Pro for $49.95, that works out at roughly $4.16 a month! This is really quite cheap for such a good service. There Who Is entry is also open; definitely suggesting they have nothing to hide! All in all, a great service for free/for a low cost. |

Make a website for free Yola.com is a great site that I joined 4 months ago . Yola.com helped me to build my own website for free and the procedure was also easy. I wonder on the capability of this site. The site has a lot of beautiful templates to choose from and even add-ons are not less. I put up CPA ads on my website and started earning through it. Apart from all pros Yola.com has an excellent 24 hours online customer support which provides great assistance. Yola.com has made my dream come true by helping me to make an attractive website. I recommend this to those persons who want to build an attractive site. Now making a website is a child’s play.

Created my First Website on Yola At first I wasn't sure I hadn't bitten off more than I could chew, but Yola made it seem easy and actually enjoyable to create a website. I finally published my sight, which is my attempt to help others like myself(totally new to the web and marketing)try to make a few dollars. Yola was right there when I had a problem with the html hanging up, and took me though the process to fix what "I" had messed up. Answered my support ticket with in minutes and it was 2:00a. m.. So , Yola gets a big 5 stars from me !

Excellent site I have made several websites using Yola. It's simple to use so you don't need any experience about making websites. You can choose from many templates and start building your very own website. Although I would like to have a bit more options to edit your site without having to code anything. I've been able to build professional looking websites. I would definitely recommend Yola to anyone who wants to make their own website fast and easily. |

Pretty good service I have my own hosting facilities but since Yola offered a free service so I signed in. Compared to the current one I am using, Yola did have a simple and easy to use interface and quick customer support. I had one Yola site and it is doing well I must say, so I plan to set up more in the future. Though of course like any free hosting facilities, you are limited to monetizing your website. Still more advertisers prefer own domain and self hosted sites. I haven’t tried the paid service yet, maybe I’ll consider it once my current one expires. Overall, I think Yola’s free web hosting facility is great! |

Yola - My Review I was using many free web hosting sites before until I bought my own domain. I personally like Yola or not love it. It does provide all to basic features that most free web hosting contains, but Yola is nothing compared to getting your own domain! That's right. Yola is a well set up site and I could easily upload files without any problems. All the menus are very easy to navigate, so I had no trouble going to places that I need. I would recommend this, but free web hosting sites are not for me anymore. I am so used to using paid domains that I will never go back. Anyways, Yola is very good if you are just starting websites and once you get enough people to know your site, you can then switch to a domain of your own. Very recommended for beginners when starting their own website. |

I have one and I like this site! I have one of my own and I can say that I like the site very much. My online friend has had one for a while now and has been happy with it. I recently got mine about a month ago and I am so far very happy with it. I like the features that you get with the free version. In fact, it seems to have most of the same features that the paid websites have. You can add html, you can have your site published instantly after changes, and you can even add paypal payment buttons. So for being a free website and all the features you get from it you can't really beat it at all. I would definitely suggest this site to anyone and especially for someone new to doing online business and wanting to start out for as cheap as possible. Another great thing you can do with the free version is set up an ebook to sell on it. You can have some decent ad copy put it on the site, add a paypal button with your link for them to down load the ebook then publish it after saving the changes and your in business in about 15 minutes or less. You can also use this site as a great lead capture page too. Put the html code of a lead capture video onto the site, along with a few lines of why they should subscribe, and the html code of the subscriber form and your in business once again. So I would say this site is a very good choice especially being free! |

Yola is awesome! Yola is an pretty awesome web hosting site. They are almost one of the best webhosting sites out there! They offer free and paid services. I had the free service for 2 months. I was very amazed of how good this site was. So I bought a paid service which gave even more handy options. Overall is their customer support very good, Fast webhosting. Little to no problems. Great community. Customer support always helps with your problems. Overall it's a very decent site, well organized and I would recommend it to any one!

Made For Newbies This is a great program to use if you are confused on where to build a site at. Yola teaches you how to build a site and has extra tools to fit your needs. You could make a fantastic website in no time at all. Plus they have options to choose for your website. If you think you are more advanced you can buy package deals for a website. You can also build a site completely free. Yola is great because it is based around the consumer. You can either pay or try it out for free. I have other websites and I am more technologically advanced, but I did not want to spend money to try this out. However I did build a free site and wow they really help you along the way. Especially if you have no clue what you were doing. It was up and running in less than 5 minutes. I would recommend this to anyone, especially newer website builders.

I Didn't Like It I signed up for hosting at Yola recently and although a lot of people probably find it easy, for me it was too complex. I got really frustrated because I tried to add my domain to my account, and there is a tutorial included that tells you how to do this, but it did me no good. I gave up, and I'm still upset that something that is supposed to be so simple, is really not. I think this hosting is good for people who want to start out, but for me I think it could be that I'm not used to the type of control panel they offer. I didn't like it, but I will recommend it to those that want to try something new. If you go with Yola, I wish you the best. |

Free option, easy to use, saves so much time! I've used Yola now to create 5 websites and I'm really happy with the service I get. I use the free version, which is really easy to use. There's a nice selection of templates to choose from, and you simply use a WYSISYG style interface to create a basic website. it's great for newbies who have no experience with HTML code, and it's great if you simply want to get a site up and running quickly and don't have the time to design and create your own. All in all I'd completely recommend this site. Free, easy to use and fast. I couldn't ask for anything more! |

Yola Gets Newbies Started Right Away I recently discovered Yola after struggling to build a website on Windows Live. I was pleasantly surprised to discover Yola is very easy to use. While I've create blogs, I never built a website before. I was able to get two pages up and running in just minutes with Yola. I selected the free option and I am very impressed with this service so far. If you are trying to build your first website, Yola is an excellent place to start.

Yola makes my life easier, for the most part I started using the free version of Yola back in May of 2009. I had just purchased a domain name from GoDaddy and was looking for somewhere to park it. When I came across Yola, I liked what I saw on the website so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did! Overall, the template and widget options make updating almost as simple as point n click. I also enjoy that I have to "publish" my site every time I make changes. This is great in case I accidentally screw something up (As I am often prone to do). The only issues I have with it deal with the functionality of some of the widgets and when uploading photos, I can't re-arrange them and add them to different folders. I have to just specifically upload it to the folder I want from the very beginning, whereas other FTP clients have allowed me to drag and drop. All in all, though, this is a VERY MINOR issue for me. I'd recommend Yola to everyone!

Useful web information As a blind person, I especially appreciate it when sites take the time to make their pages accessible. I found them by clicking a google ad, something I never do. I had no trouble accessing any of the information presented to me. The list of available plans were easy to understand and navigate. I am glad I did. The domain name service they offer is very useful because it provides an accessible center for getting a web page up and running. I appreciated the templates offered, because they gave descriptive comments about them, not just pictures. All in all, they are quite accessible for blind persons.

It has been a while since I've used Yola, but it's not because I don't like it. It is actually one of the best free web builders I've used. The pricing is actually very cheap if you choose the right plans. There are bronze and silver plans. Bronze: $4.95
DO NOT USE THIS!
So far, I have been using this site to create my own.

Yola is great for beginners with it's super easy drag and drop interface. It comes with a bunch of free templates but editing the template's code costs some money. I wanted to edit the template CSS on my website and they told me I had to purchase a $100 dollar upgrade to do so!
